End of the Quarter

Out in CA we are doing end of the quarter, real world events (one in SF and one in LA).

We are pretty much asking people to donate to the Calitics actblue page and show up at a bar. If you live nearby, attend. If you don't, you should throw one of these for your actblue list in your state.

This should become a tradition -- we have five more chances to do it again before the '08 elections. What do you think, are you up for throwing some coin towards your favorite candidates and throwing back a few with your favorite netroot-types at the end of the quarter?

Re: End of the Quarter (none / 0)

Looking forward to drinking liberally for Jerry and Charlie on Wednesday.

And, yeah, this "beers with bloggers" quarterly concept should be a national event for bloggers/netroots candidates across the country.

If not this Q, maybe next Q?

Thanks blogswarm and the Calitics crew for making this happen... again!

Re: End of the Quarter (none / 0)

I am going to Women for Obama Conference Call with 100.00 check, on Sunday at the NW IL Dem HQ.  I am donating by the 30th to Dan Seals, (IL-10) running against Mark Kirk (R).  He narrowly lost this seat.  Already signed up for information and to volunteer.  I will work the district for him in 2008.  I will also, donate to Al Franken, online, running for Minnesota Senate seat currently held by Norm Coleman.  My brother and sister are in Minneapolis and are up there working on his campaign.  I used to live in Minnesota and my husband graduated from the University of Minnesota and knew Senator Wellstone.  He was devistated of his death and has a picture of them on his desk.  He, too, has been sending money to Franken.  I have been pretty liberal these past months donating, but now I have to narrow it down.  I was giving to Edwards, but will relinquish.  My husband is supporting him.  So, I am concentrating on Obama, Seals and Franken.  Our other senator here in IL is Durbin, but I don't see or smell any serious competition.  If it does appear, my cc will have to break out for him too.

Re: End of the Quarter (none / 0)

So far this year I've done Brown three times, McNerney twice, and Schweitzer with a check. Always love the discussions of who people are backing at the end of each quarter.
